Ankle Sprain..! The advice is to rest...!


A sprained ankle is the most commonly occurring ankle injury. Caused when the ligaments in your ankle stretch or tear, often as the result of a sporting injury or simply a misstep, symptoms include pain, swelling, bruising and ankle instability. In many cases, rest is the only treatment necessary, but for more severe cases it is important that you see a specialist to assess the extent of the ligament damage. A variety of targeted treatments may be recommended, including immobilising the injured ankle in a plaster cast, functional rehabilitation and, as a last resort, surgery.
