Everywhere needs to get engaged with our built environment !

The day after World Mental Health Day it got me thinking on how important the built environment is to social well people and their mental health. It’s well know that neighbourhoods and communities that are created well can have a significant positive impact on the residents physical and mental health.

Well designed places engage, enhance learning, are able to reduce stress levels and it’s now well documented that those in our communities that do become ill heal faster and better when living in well designed built environments.

Walkability ... A true and important health indicator
